I love painting these beautiful, black creatures that shimmer with multiple colors like oil on water. They are not only symbols of my favorite time of year (autumn), but of childhood memories. I'm reminded of playing football on the street under a chilly, fall, NJ sky with a brisk breeze that froze my fingers while we ran up and down the street until it was too dark to see the ball anymore.
